YOU HAVE THE RIGHT TO KNOW ABOUT PRODUCTS APPLIED TO YOUR PROPERTY

The “Access to Information About Hazardous and Toxic Substances Act,” the Right to Know Law, gives consumers a way to learn about chemicals applied to their property. (Article 89, Annotated Code of Maryland, §§ 32A – 32H). This law requires employers to inventory and list all hazardous and toxic substances used and to have available Safety Data Sheets and Labels for these substances. Consumers must be notified when an application is made and know how to get information about the chemicals/substances used.

RIGHT TO KNOW

We have compiled a product information list at www.hillsidelawn.com under our “Products” page with corresponding links to Labels and Material Safety Data Sheets for all chemicals/products we may apply within a given calendar year.

• Right to Know Binder (physical copy). Our chemical information list contains all of the chemicals/products we may apply within a given calendar year. A physical copy of the list, along with SDS and Labels, is available upon request.

CUSTOMER/CONSUMER RIGHTS

You have the right by law to:

• See the Chemical Information List, Labels and Safety Data Sheets for hazardous substances applied to your property.
• Be provided with one copy of the list of substances you use and safety data sheets or the means to make a copy at no cost within five days of the request.
